Summary
A Day Program Activity Aide assists participants with crafts and activities, which helps the participant’s functional, cognitive, social, physical, and work skills. Activities are inhouse at Stacey’s Place Day Program and includes activities such as puzzles, games, reading, lunches, sorting, and simple movement exercises.
Responsibilities
Under the supervision and leadership of Lead or Program staff:
- Assist participants with crafts and activities focused on developing and furthering functional and cognitive abilities, improving quality of life for adults with varying intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Assist participants to participate in activities furthering independence, social skills, self advocacy, work skills, physical fitness, and communication skills
- Assist in setup, supplies, and clerical tasks
- Communicate maintenance requests to leadership and staff
Requirements
- CPR / First Aid Certification preferred
- Scheduling options are :
- Full Day: 8:30 am to 3:30 pm
- Half Day: 8:30 am 12:30 pm, or 11:30 am to 3:30 pm
- Works 1 to 2 times per week or As Needed
Additional Info
- Closed on all recognized holidays – extended closure for Christmas & New Year
