Current job opportunities at the Day Program @ Stacey’s Place

Do you love adults with intellectual & developmental disabilities? If so, we’d love for you to join us in serving them in our Day Program. What do we do each day? Here is a sample of our weekly schedule:
 
  • Monday: Centers, Community Volunteering
  • Tuesday: Serving @ Food Pantry, Swimming
  • Wednesday: Forsyth County Park, Bowling
  • Thursday: Community Volunteering, Library
  • Friday: Crafts, Lunch Dining Out, Music Program
While this is a typical week, we also mix in movies, state parks, birthday celebrations, exercise programs, cooking, the zoo, and seasonal outings like the pumpkin patch, the Festival of Tree, all-day pool outings, and holiday celebration.

Day Program: Program Staff

Day Program: Program Staff

A Program Staff member leads and assists participants in crafts, activities, and outings that help to further or maintain the participant’s functional, cognitive, social, physical, and work skills. Inhouse activities include exercise, crafts, movies, celebrations, and walking, Outings occur daily and include activities such as bowling, swimming, the library, eating out, volunteering with community partners, and visiting the pumpkin patch or other seasonal venues. Program staff, working with Leads and Aides, ensure the day program runs smoothly and event free.

Day Program: Aide

Day Program: Aide

A Day Program Aide is responsible for working with Lead and Program staff to assist participants in having a successful and fulfilling day. With the support from Lead Staff, an Aide will assist the participants with crafts, activities, and outings that help to further or maintain the participants functional, cognitive, social, physical, and work skills. Outings occur daily, and include activities such as bowling, swimming, eating out, volunteering with community partners, and visiting the pumpkin patch or other seasonal venues.

Day Program: Activity Aide

Day Program Activity Aide assists participants with crafts and activities, which helps the participant’s functional, cognitive, social, physical, and work skills. Activities are inhouse at Stacey’s Place Day Program and includes activities such as puzzles, games, reading, lunches, sorting, and simple movement exercises.
-> Part Time position; Also available in 1/2 day options
