Summary

A Day Program Lead Staff is responsible for the overall planning and running of the day program in conjunction with the other Leads and Stacey’s Place Management. With the support from Program Staff, they will lead the participants in crafts, activities, and outings that help to further or maintain the participants functional, cognitive, social, physical, and work skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in planning & leading activities focused on developing and furthering functional and cognitive abilities, improving quality of life for adults with varying intellectual and developmental disabilities in accordance to participants individual service plan (ISP)
  • Assists in planning & leading participants in activities furthering independence, social skills, self advocacy, works skills, physical fitness, and communication skills in accordance with participants ISP
  • Leads participants in community access outing and volunteer opportunities
  • Supervise participants & provide necessary guidance / support for health, hygiene and safety
  • Maintain required records such as attendance, notes, and incident reports
  • Communicate maintenance requests (facility, vehicles, etc)
  • Maintain working relationship with community partners
  • Consider financial cost of outings and special events within the overall budget
  • Supervise water activities with participants & staff
  • Communicate with parents / guardians regarding their participant’s participation

Requirements

  • CPR / First Aid Certification (will be provided if needed)
  • Lead in monthly and weekly planning  
  • Able to work approximately 35 hours a week ~ 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, M-F
  • Clear Driving Record
  • Able to participate in water activities with participants
  • Able to drive company vehicles to/from outings (SUV, small shuttle bus, etc)
  • Continuing Education: 16 hours annually

Additional Info

  • Closed on all recognized holidays – extended closure for Christmas & New Year
  • Salary position – paid holidays, time-off, and training

Program Staff is responsible for working with Lead staff to ensure the overall running of the day program is smooth and event free.  With the support from Lead Staff, they will assist the participants in crafts, activities, and outings that help to further or maintain the participants functional, cognitive, social, physical, and work skills. Outings occur daily, and include activities such as bowling, swimming, eating out, volunteering with community partners, and visiting the pumpkin patch or other seasonal venues.

With the support from Lead Staff, an Aide will assist the participants with crafts, activities, and outings that help to further or maintain the participants functional, cognitive, social, physical, and work skills. Outings occur daily, and include activities such as bowling, swimming, eating out, volunteering with community partners, and visiting the pumpkin patch or other seasonal venues.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision and leadership of Lead or Program staff:

  • Help participants with crafts and activities focused on developing and furthering functional and cognitive abilities, improving quality of life for adults with varying intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Helps participants to participate in activities furthering independence, social skills, self advocacy, work skills, physical fitness, and communication skills
  • Help participants in community access outing and volunteer opportunities
  • Provide necessary guidance / support for health, hygiene and safety
  • Assist in setup, supplies, and clerical tasks
  • Communicate maintenance requests to leadership
  • Participate in maintaining working relationship with community partners
  • Participate in water activities with participants

Requirements

  • CPR / First Aid Certification preferred
  • Able to work approximately 6 hours per day, ~ 8:45 am to 3:00 pm
  • Part-time (2-4 days) a week and full-time (5 days per week) available

Day Program: Activity Aide

Day Program: Activity Aide

Summary

A Day Program Activity Aide assists participants with crafts and activities, which helps the participant’s functional, cognitive, social, physical, and work skills. Activities are inhouse at Stacey’s Place Day Program and includes activities such as puzzles, games, reading, lunches, sorting, and simple movement exercises.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision and leadership of Lead or Program staff:

  • Assist participants with crafts and activities focused on developing and furthering functional and cognitive abilities, improving quality of life for adults with varying intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Assist participants to participate in activities furthering independence, social skills, self advocacy, work skills, physical fitness, and communication skills
  • Assist in setup, supplies, and clerical tasks
  • Communicate maintenance requests to leadership and staff

Requirements

  • CPR / First Aid Certification preferred
  • Able to work approximately 3 hours on designated days
    • ~ 9 am noon, or noon to 3:00 pm
  • Works 1 to 2 times per week or As Needed
